These stone lithographs were printed as a series, c.1910. The printer was F. Champenois who was a master and pioneer of his craft working with some of the finest artists of his time; Alphonse Mucha is probably one of the best known artists.

Champenois was a champion lithographer changing the face of advertising by elevating the poster medium to a higher art form seducing a customer and engaging a potential client than simply passing along a notice to the public.

It is supposed that this series was intended for educational purposes, but without a doubt, it is some of the finest printing ever done.
